The Digital Government Authority’s development of the National Overall Reference Architecture (NORA) methodology is part of the Authority’s efforts in line with the objectives of Vision 2030 for the government sector, as the methodology helps the government entities to develop the enterprise architecture in an accessible manner according to stages and steps that ensure good governance in application and compatibility with government work.
- Determining the scope and the requirements of the enterprise architecture in government entities.
- Helping the government entities to implement the enterprise architecture in a smooth and effective manner.
- Ensuring the efficiency and quality of the enterprise architecture and its outputs through consistent processes and recommendations.
- Facilitate the use of the EA and promote awareness and capacity building in government entities.
- Aligning the directions and objectives of the enterprise architecture in the government entity with the national enterprise architecture and national operational plans to support the government's direction towards digital transformation with more comprehensive manner.
The NORA methodology is based on a life cycle consisting of ten main stages that are implemented consecutively in line with the goals and objectives of the government entity with regard to building and developing the EA.
