The Digital Government Authority launched the Digital Transformation Measurement 2024 to enhance government agencies’ compliance with digital transformation decisions and directives, improve the quality of digital government services delivered to beneficiaries, and reinforce Saudi Arabia’s global leadership.
His Excellency, the Authority’s Governor, Eng. Ahmed Alsuwaiyan, stated that the digital transformation measurement serves as a digital enabler for the transformation journey, supporting the strategic pillars of the Kingdom’s digital government, and positioning Saudi Arabia as a global leader in digital government, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
H.E further explained that the digital transformation measurement seeks to achieve the requirements of digital transformation, develop the digital government, and improve the performance and effectiveness of government agencies, thereby accelerating the pace of digital transformation in the Kingdom, increasing beneficiary satisfaction, and enhancing quality of life.
Today, Monday, the 2024 Qiyas cycle began with an introductory remote workshop attended by more than 2,000 specialists representing 233 government agencies. The workshop covered an introduction to the measurement methodology, key updates to the Digital Transformation Basic Standards, as well as highlights of Qiyas 2023 success stories and the timeline for the current cycle.
The Qiyas 2024 cycle continues the efforts of previous cycles. The updated version of the Digital Transformation Basic Standards includes 96 standards, compared to 125 standards in the 2023 version, which involved 226 government agencies, achieved a progress rate of 85.53%, and enabled 88 agencies to reach the Creativity and Integration phases.
