The Digital Government Authority (DGA) is committed to creating a supportive and empowered regulatory environment for government digital transformation. Accordingly, DGA is developing regulatory studies and proposing draft regulations related to its competencies. It also provides a qualitative view of the impact of regulations and legislation on the ecosystem as well as foreign and local investment in the digital government sector and analyses their impact from various aspects, especially the economic and social aspects. DGA aims to ensure that its regulations are effective, flexible, and compatible with future changes, keeping abreast of technical developments. In addition to engaging with stakeholders and obtain their views and observations on the proposed regulations, policies, and standards, DGA analyses the results of beneficiary voice surveys related to regulations and legislation for the digital government to increase the effectiveness of regulations and align them with the needs of different categories of beneficiaries. DGA is studying the market needs for regulatory initiatives and keeping up to date with global developments in the digital government and its services to contribute to achieving national priorities and the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
