The Digital Government Authority launched the Digital Transformation Measurement 2023, aiming to increase government agencies’ compliance with orders and decisions related to digital transformation, improve the quality of digital services provided to beneficiaries, and contribute to the Kingdom’s progress in international indicators related to digital government development.

His Excellency, the Authority’s Governor, Engineer Ahmed Alsuwaiyan, stated that the digital transformation measurement serves as a digital enabler for the transformation journey, supporting the strategic pillars of the Kingdom’s digital government, and positioning Saudi Arabia as a global leader in digital government, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

H.E further explained that the digital transformation measurement seeks to achieve the requirements of digital transformation, develop the digital government, and improve the performance and effectiveness of government agencies, thereby accelerating the pace of digital transformation in the Kingdom, increasing beneficiary satisfaction, and enhancing quality of life.

Yesterday, Tuesday, the 2023 Qiyas cycle began with an introductory remote workshop organized by the Digital Government Authority, attended by 226 government agencies and more than 1,500 participants. The workshop covered an introduction to the measurement methodology, key updates to the Digital Transformation Basic Standards, as well as highlights of Qiyas 2022 success stories and the timeline for the current cycle.
Qiyas 2023 continues the efforts of previous measurements, keeping pace with digital transformation developments to support government agencies in showcasing their achievements and attaining higher levels of excellence in their digital transformation journey. The Digital Transformation Basic Standards are based on several pillars, including fulfilling digital transformation requirements through optimal application of the standards and developing the digital government.

Notably, government agencies achieved a progress rate of 80.96% in Qiyas 2022, compared to 69.39% in Qiyas 2021 (ninth cycle), marking an improvement of 11.57%, with 61 agencies reaching the Creativity and Integration phases.
