The Digital Government Authority (DGA) announced the results of the Digital Experience Maturity Index 2024, where the index achieved a rate of (85.04%) at an "advanced" level. The Index included the evaluation of (39) digital platforms according to (4) main perspectives, which include (20) themes. These perspectives included: measuring user satisfaction through the participation of more than 175,000 beneficiaries in evaluating their satisfaction with their digital experience, in addition to evaluating the user experience, the platforms' mechanisms for dealing with their beneficiaries' complaints, as well as evaluating the digital technologies and tools enabling these platforms.
H.E. Eng. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Alsuwaiyan, the Governor of Digital Government Authority, explained that the Digital Experience Maturity Index aims to increase beneficiary satisfaction, enhance their digital experience, and improve interaction with them, in line with international indicators, best international practices, and alignment with the strategic directions of the Digital Government; to enhance Saudi Arabia’s ranking in international indicators and accelerate the pace of digital transformation processes.
H.E. Alsuwaiyan emphasized that the continuous improvement in the index results reflects the significant efforts made by the government agencies in developing their digital platforms and services, and their contribution to improving the quality of life, facilitating business practices, enhancing competitiveness, and achieving efficiency in government work; receiving the great support and empowerment from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Index has increased by (4.36%) compared to the previous cycle, and the number of platforms covered in 2024 reached (39 platforms) compared to (24 platforms) in 2023, and more than (175,000) participants participated in evaluating the platforms for this cycle, exceeding the number of participants in the previous cycle, which reached (134,000) participants.
The detailed results of the index showed the distinction of the top ten platforms, as they all obtained the (advanced) level, and the results of the top ten digital platforms were as follows: (Tawakkalna) at a rate of (91.29%), while the (Social Insurance) recorded a rate of (91.18%), and (Zakat, Tax and Customs) reached a rate of (90.42%), and (Absher) reached a rate of (90.39%), and (Ehsan) achieved a rate of (90.27%), and (Etimad) platform at a rate of (90.21%), and (Musaned) obtained a rate of (87.28%), and (Qiwa) at a rate of (87.18%), while (Visit Saudi) reached a rate of (86.21%), and the (Najiz) reached a rate of (86.09%).
It is worth mentioning that that the Digital Government Authority has developed the methodology of the Digital Maturity Index for the year 2024, in addition to the main perspectives, themes and detailed criteria on which the methodology is based, which are used to evaluate the maturity of digital platforms according to them. This was done through reviewing and improving those main perspectives and their associated themes, and the mechanisms for measuring them, to cover multiple aspects of the digital experience, in addition to updating the criteria used to identify the priority platforms based on them. The goal is to gradually increase the number of platforms covered in each cycle.
