DGA launched "SADAF", in the presence of His Excellency Deputy Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) Eng. Haitham Abdulrahman AlOhali, His Excellency the Governor of DGA, Eng. Ahmed bin Mohammed Alsuwaiyan, His Excellency the Chairman of the Steering Committee at the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Abdulaziz AlFuraih, His Excellency CEO of Government Expenditure & Projects Efficiency Authority (EXPRO), Eng. Abdul Razzaq Al-Aujan, His Excellency CEO of the National Center for Government Resource Systems (NCGR), Eng. Yousef Al-Harqan, and several officials from the public and private sectors.
SADAF aims to enhance ways of joint work between the public and private sectors, increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the participation of the private sector in digital government projects, and encourage local and foreign investment in digital government.
During the inauguration, His Excellency the Governor of the Authority, Eng. Ahmed bin Mohammed Alsuwaiyan, stated that the “SADAF” aims to enhance investment and the efficiency of government expenditure in the field of digital government, improve the planning of digital budgets, and avoid duplication of projects. His Excellency added that SADAF will contribute to increasing purchasing through framework agreements by 70% and transform the technological services between government and private sectors from capital to operational expenditures by 72%.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the signing of a partnership agreement between the Authority and EXPRO to enhance means of cooperation and partnership in several fields that advance digital government transformation and raise the efficiency of expenditure, in addition to signing an agreement between EXPRO and NCGR to integrate the Mashroat platform with the Etimad platform to achieve integration and provide a distinctive experience for beneficiaries.
It is noted that “SADAF” was announced as a program within the initiatives of the Authority that are aiming at pioneering the digital government at Saudi Arabia at digital government strategic directions ceremony during the first quarter of the current year 2022 AD to culminate his journey with a center that supports the governance of digital procurement processes.
The Authority is the competent agency for everything related to the digital government in Saudi Arabia and the national reference to its affairs. In addition, it aims to organize digital government work between government agencies to achieve a proactive digital government capable of providing pioneering digital services.
