Digital Government Authority Signs an Agreement with Masdar Data Solution Company, to Provide Data Solutions that Contribute to Classifying Digital Government Service Contractors and providers

Digital Government Authority (DGA) signed an agreement with Masdar to provide data solutions that contribute to achieving the Authority objectives in the technical classification work of contractors in the information and communications technology Sector (ICT) and providers of digital government services based on the type of service and activity provided in ICT Sector to the government agencies.

The agreement will provide reliable solutions for developing and adopting technical standards and policies for the technical classification of services and activities provided by contractors and the extent of their alignment with the efficiency and capacity of the enterprise. It will also help the Authority achieve its objectives of identifying and supporting technological SMEs and increasing their contribution to digital government procurement. It will enable the Authority to identify development and investment opportunities in supply chains and raise the localization percentage and local technological content.

The agreement was signed by and between the Authority, Deputy Governor of Investment and Government Excellence, Dr. Abdullah Al-Fifi, and Masdar, CEO, Ibrahim Al-Shaya.

The Authority undertakes special powers and tasks in coordination with the competent agencies to work on regulating the work of the digital government under the Council of Ministers Resolution issued approving the regulation of the Authority.

The Authority is the competent agency for all matters related to digital government and the national reference in its affairs. It aims to regulate the digital government work in the government agencies to reach a proactive digital government capable of providing highly efficient digital services and achieving integration in the digital government field among all government agencies.
