His Excellency, the Governor of Digital Government Authority (DGA), Chairman of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) Executive Committee, Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Alsuwaiyan and the accompanying delegation ended his visit to the United Kingdom. During his visit, he held meetings with several leaders and officials in public and private sectors to enhance the horizons of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom in the digital economy field and explore international experiences in the field of digital government.

H.E., the Governor, participated during the visit to the Annual 21st Middle East and North Africa Conference with a primary speech in which he presented and discussed the leading Saudi model in digital transformation. In his speech, he shed light upon the most important practices and Saudi Arabia’s success stories in the field of digital government, as well as benefiting from these experiences in this promising field.
 

H.E. Alsuwaiyan held a meeting with the Parliamentary Secretary for the Cabinet Office of the UK, Mr. Alex Burghart, and HE Minister of State for Data and Digital Infrastructure, Mrs. Julia Lopez, besides HE Minister of State for Technology and Digital Economy in the UK, Mr. Saqib Bhatti. In this regard, HE also held meetings with several officials in governmental authorities and the executive chief officers in large companies, aiming to discuss the expansion of strategic partnerships in digital government between both countries.
 

During the visit, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United Kingdom, received at the embassy headquarters His Excellency the Governor of (DGA) and the accompanying delegation for discussing DGA efforts for developing digital governmental services, as well as studying the means of promoting and reinforcing cooperation.
 

Furthermore, H.E. held a meeting with the Cultural Attaché to the UK, HE Dr. Amal bint Jameel Fatani. Besides, he held a meeting with some of the scholarship students in the Saudi Arabian Cultural Bureau (SACB) in the Capital of the UK, London, where he discussed the leading initiatives in digital transformation and the strategic approaches of digital government. He also heard to their ideas and the most critical challenges they encountered in dealing with digital governmental services, seeking to improve their digital experience and provide services that met and satisfied their aspirations.
 

This visit is made within the framework of the Digital Government Authority (DGA), which endeavors to enhance partnerships and international representation and is based on its role in leading international efforts to achieve a sustainable digital economy, according to the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030.
