Today, Wednesday, 27 September 2023, the Digital Government Authority, in cooperation with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, participated in an awareness symposium entitled: "Future of Free and Open-Source Software in Training", to build a robust system for technology and digital services that possess the appropriate talents and communities to provide the necessary support and solutions in the field of open-source software.

During the awareness symposium, the importance of the strategy for adopting free and open-source government software was reviewed, the experiences of trainers of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation on adopting free and open-source software were conveyed, and the best practices and ways for agencies and organizations to contribute to the free and open-source software communities were mentioned.

Notably, this cooperation comes as part of the Authority’s endeavor to raise awareness of the free and open-source government software strategy.
