The Digital Government Authority (DGA) held a virtual workshop titled “Generative AI Enhanced by Cloud Computing and Its Role in Transforming Public Sector Services,” in collaboration with Amazon Web Services. The workshop was attended by over 280 representatives from 100 government agencies, aiming to raise awareness among government agencies about cloud computing objectives and to enhance cloud transformation, while introducing the various enablers provided by the Authority to support this transition.
During the workshop, the Authority presented the services and support it offers to government agencies, alongside a review of global best practices, cloud computing business models, ways to address challenges, and the building of effective strategies to overcome obstacles in achieving cloud transformation goals. The future of cloud computing in government agencies was also highlighted, along with methods for decision-making based on generative AI capabilities, building effective data management strategies, and leveraging modern technologies to enhance productivity, improve service quality, and boost beneficiary satisfaction.
The Authority also showcased its efforts with partners from government and private sectors to achieve a cloud service adoption target of at least 50% by 2025, with continuous work towards reaching 80% by 2030.
It is noteworthy that this workshop is part of a series of awareness workshops organized periodically by the Authority, aimed at increasing awareness, developing competencies, and transferring knowledge in the field of cloud computing, thereby supporting the acceleration of cloud transformation in digital government.
