The Digital Government Authority (DGA) issued a research study on “Cloud Computing and its Role in Accelerating Digital Transformation and its Sustainable Impact in the Government Sector”. Cloud computing is one of the emerging technical solutions that allows running software and applications, storing data, and sharing computing resources as services through a highly efficient and reliable external service provider, which contributes to accelerating and developing digital transformation in all government sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The study aims to provide reference information, strong evidence, and a comprehensive understanding to raise awareness about the importance of rapid adoption of cloud computing services, and to facilitate business leaders and those interested in digital and cloud transformation across different government sectors in Saudi Arabia in their decision-making process related to adopting cloud computing services. It also aims to enable them to find the appropriate cloud strategy that contributes to the effective, vital, and sustainable development of the environment, society, and economy in their institutions or organizations, which will reflect on strengthening the economy of Saudi Arabia.
