The Digital Government Authority (DGA) held a workshop titled “AI Powered by Cloud Computing: Redefining Excellence in the Public Sector to Achieve a More Efficient and Effective Government” on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, in collaboration with Oracle.

 The event took place in Riyadh with the participation of more than 150 representatives from 90 government agencies, aiming to enhance government readiness in adopting artificial intelligence applications supported by cloud computing technologies.

The workshop focused on global best practices in artificial intelligence and cloud computing, featuring modern business models and successful national experiences in cloud transformation. It also reviewed common challenges and explored ways to address them through the development of effective strategies that enhance government operational efficiency and improve the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.

Discussions during the workshop covered key enablement topics, including the Authority’s role in supporting government agencies throughout their cloud transformation journey, Oracle’s vision for fostering innovation, governance frameworks related to artificial intelligence, and the stages of cloud migration.

The workshop also showcased tools that accelerate adoption and lead to higher operational efficiency, and addressed mechanisms for effective cloud adoption with the objective of reaching an 80% adoption rate by 2030.

This workshop comes as part of a series of awareness sessions regularly organized by the Authority to enable government agencies to make data-driven decisions and benefit from artificial intelligence solutions powered by cloud computing.
