The Digital Government Authority (DGA) held a virtual introductory workshop on the methodology for adopting free and open-source software, the product guide in the government software repository and the criteria for selecting them, on Thursday, July 11, 2024, in conjunction with the issue of the Guideline for Adopting Free and Open-Source Software, in the presence of more than 270 participants interested in the field of software in digital transformation and technology departments and developers in more than 70 government agencies.

During the workshop, representatives from the National Center for E-Learning were also hosted; to review the NCEL’s success story in adopting open-source software, and share with attendees the most important lessons learned in this field.
