The Digital Government Authority (DGA) has launched today the "Digital Excellence Program", aiming to enable government agencies to enhance their digital maturity and adopt global best practices in digital transformation. This initiative builds on the achievements made by government agencies in institutional architecture and expands toward comprehensive national methodologies that contribute to improving government performance efficiency and developing digital services, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The launch of the program comes as part of the Authority’s efforts to unify assessment methodologies, enhance transparency, support decision-making, and improve operational efficiency. This, in turn, enables government agencies to advance their digital performance and strengthens Saudi Arabia’s position in international digital government indicators.

The program is built around four main pillars: strategy, technology, operations, and resources, under which several specialized digital dimensions fall, including national enterprise architecture, open-source software, cloud computing, financial enablement, artificial intelligence, and other priority areas within the digital government landscape. The program also offers a set of tools, including technical assessments, advisory services, and guidance frameworks, in addition to training programs that contribute to building digital capabilities within government agencies and empowering national talents to lead digital transformation efficiently and sustainably.

It is worth noting that the Authority will conduct a series of introductory workshops for government agencies, attended by their representatives, during which the program’s objectives, components, and implementation dimensions will be presented. The workshops will also discuss activation mechanisms and integration with digital transformation plans within government agencies, reaffirming the Authority’s role in enabling the government sector to achieve digital excellence through an integrated program that supports continuous improvement, enhances service quality, and elevates the readiness of the national digital ecosystem.
