The Digital Government Authority (DGA) held a virtual workshop titled “Best Practices in Financial Management of Cloud Computing in the Government Sector (FinOps)” in collaboration with IBM. The workshop was attended by more than (300) representatives from (90) government agencies, aiming to introduce the services provided in the field of cloud computing and cloud transformation, as well as the support available to them during 2025.
 

The workshop featured a presentation of global best practices and business models in cloud financial management, alongside discussions on ways to address challenges and overcome obstacles to achieve cloud transformation goals. Participants’ inquiries were also addressed in order to reach a cloud service adoption rate within digital government of no less than (50%) during the year (2025), with continued efforts to achieve an adoption rate of (80%) by the year (2030).
 

It is worth noting that this workshop is part of a series of workshops that the Authority intends to organize regularly, with the aim of enhancing capabilities and developing competencies in the field of cloud computing, and accelerating the pace of cloud transformation in digital government.
