The Digital Government Authority (DGA) held a workshop titled “Financial Planning for Digital Government Budgets” on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, with the participation of 45 representatives from 20 government agencies.

The workshop took place at the Authority’s Innovation Hub.The workshop aimed to discuss the mechanism for reviewing digital project funding requests through the “Raqmi” platform, as well as to present the process for submitting funding requests via the Digital Budgets service on the platform.

It also addressed the key challenges faced by government agencies in this area.The workshop covered several key topics, most notably: an overview of the Digital Government Authority’s strategic direction and its alignment with financial planning, the enablers and strategic directions of the digital budget, the main stages of the public budget lifecycle, the journey of digital project funding requests, and the economic classification of digital projects.

This workshop is part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of digital government services and ensure the alignment of digital projects in a way that supports the Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation journey.
