Digital Government Honors Winners of Digital Government Award 2025

The Digital Government Authority honored the winners of the Digital Government Award 2025 during the Digital Government Forum, held in Riyadh on November 5,6 under the theme “Our Future is Now,” with the attendance of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, along with an elite group of leaders, decision-makers, and experts in digital transformation from inside and outside Saudi Arabia.

In this year’s award categories, the “Vehicle Plates” service by the Public Security won the Best Digital Service category, while the Best Initiative in Digital Inclusion category went to the “Accessible Mobility” initiative of The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque. The “Surveys Portal” initiative by the Saudi Data and AI Authority won the Best Initiative in e-Participation category. In the Best Adoption of Artificial Intelligence Applications category, the “Water Sustainability Platform” by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture received the award.  Mr. Turki Al-Eyed from Civil Affairs won the Best Digital Leader category,  and Ms. Al-Batul Al-Ghannam from the General Bureau for Auditing received the Best Promising Employee award.

For his part, the official spokesperson of the Digital Government Authority, Abdulwahab Albadah, affirmed that the Digital Government Award represents one of the main pillars of the national digital excellence ecosystem, aiming to motivate government agencies, individuals, and partners to innovate and adopt best practices that reinforce Saudi Arabia’s leadership in digital transformation. He pointed out that the achievements witnessed today are the result of national investment in people, knowledge, and technology.

Albadah noted that the winners of this edition embody the spirit of transformation that Saudi Arabia is experiencing in its journey toward building a digital government characterized by efficiency and agility, and driven by innovation, empowerment, and knowledge. He emphasized that the incentives and positive competition fostered by the Award have contributed to solidifying Saudi Arabia’s digital leadership and strengthening its advanced position in international indicators related to digital transformation.

This year’s edition also featured the introduction of a new category dedicated to the private sector, in a move aimed at expanding partnerships between the public and private sectors and encouraging innovative practices that support the national digital transformation ecosystem.  Elm was crowned with the Best Digital Partner Award in recognition of its contribution to developing digital solutions that support smart government, innovative services, and the enhancement of digital service integration across Saudi Arabia.

The Digital Government Award comes as part of the Authority’s efforts to foster a culture of excellence in digital performance and to motivate government agencies to adopt best global practices and standards in digital transformation, thereby strengthening Saudi Arabia’s competitiveness and digital leadership in support of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
