DGA Integrates and Closes 267 Digital Platforms

The Digital Government Authority (DGA) announced the integration and closure of 267 digital platforms across various sectors as part of its efforts to improve the experience of beneficiaries of government services and enhance digital efficiency. This step reflects the commitment of government agencies to raising the quality of digital services and achieving integration among platforms, in line with the strategic directions of digital government.

These efforts included the implementation of new standards to regulate the governance of government platforms and the enhancement of the use of shared technological resources, such as: “National Single Sign-On,” “E-Payment,” and the “Government Service Bus,” in addition to adhering to the unified design system (“Platform Code”), all of which contribute to providing unified and efficient digital services.

The Authority launched the “Whole of Government” program in 2022. The program succeeded in closing and reducing the number of government platforms from 817 at its launch to 550 by the end of the first half of 2025. The Program aims to improve the efficiency of government resource utilization and provide more effective digital services, thereby supporting the digital transformation journey and enhancing beneficiary satisfaction.

The Authority emphasized the importance of integrating efforts among government agencies to effectively develop and manage digital domains and platforms, with a focus on providing services through the unified national application “Tawakkalna,” offered by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). This approach enhances the user experience and ensures the delivery of government services centered on beneficiaries’ needs, with unlimited support from the Wise Leadership.

In this context, the Authority expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by government agencies in adopting modern technological solutions and their commitment to providing high-quality digital services. The Authority also stressed the importance of continuing efforts to develop an integrated digital environment that enhances the efficiency of electronic platforms and strengthens Saudi Arabia’s position in international digital government indices.

These efforts are highlighted through notable examples. The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing exemplifies a leading model in digital transformation by closing 37 different platforms within “Balady” platform, achieving a completion rate exceeding 80%. This contributes to unifying services and improving the beneficiary experience. The Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services also continues its digital leadership through the “Logisti” platform, which provides more than 200 services covering various transport sectors and contributes to enhancing the efficiency of the logistics infrastructure and supporting the national economy. In the health sector, the Ministry of Health is leading a comprehensive digital transformation through the “Sehhaty” platform, which offers a unified experience for more than 30 million users. This transformation has included issuing over 140 million electronic prescriptions after integrating the “Wasfaty” and “Unified Health Record” platforms, as well as providing more than 80 million appointments and 7 million instant consultations by merging the “Mawid” and “Seha” services. These efforts enhance healthcare efficiency, improve quality of life, and drive progress towards achieving the objectives of Vision 2030.
