The Digital Government Authority (DGA) announced the results of the Digital Experience Maturity Index for (2025), which reached a percentage of (86.71%), categorized as “Advanced”. This follows a comprehensive evaluation of (50) digital platforms across four main perspectives, encompassing (20) themes, which included: beneficiary satisfaction, user experience, complaint handling, and technologies and tools.
H.E. Eng. Ahmad Bin Mohammed Alsuwaiyan, the Governor of Digital Government Authority, stated that these results reflect the commitment of government agencies to improve the quality of digital services and enhance beneficiary satisfaction. This is part of comprehensive national efforts aimed at providing an easy, secure, and effective digital experience that contributes to improving quality of life, facilitating business practices, and achieving government performance efficiency. He expressed appreciation for the support and empowerment from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Index recorded growth compared to 2024, with an increase in the number of participating beneficiaries to over (374,000). Additionally, the scope of the evaluation expanded to include (50) platforms compared to (39) platforms in the previous year, reflecting the efforts of government agencies and their continuous commitment to developing their digital experiences.
The results showed that the top (10) digital platforms distinguished themselves, all achieving an “Advanced” level. The results were as follows: (Absher) platform at (93.95%), followed by (ZATCA) platform at (93.25%), (Tawakkalna) platform at (91.89%), (Etimad) platform at (91.43%), (Qiwa) platform at (91.06%), (Ehsan) platform at (90.95%), (Ministry of Tourism) portal at (90.78%), (GOSI) platform at (90.35%), while (Sehhaty) application reached (89.71%), and (Senaei) platform at (89.58%).
This year, there was a focus on a sub-index for digital inclusion, which achieved a score of (75.30%) at a “Competent” level. This demonstrates the awareness of government agencies regarding the importance of designing digital services that enable various segments of society, including people with disabilities and the elderly, to use and benefit from them independently.
It is worth noting that the Digital Government Authority works annually on developing the methodology for the Digital Experience Maturity Index, in line with the latest trends in this field, contributing to establishing Saudi Arabia's global leadership in digital transformation. Saudi Arabia achieved first place regionally in the Electronic and Mobile Government Services Maturity Index for 2024, issued by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), and fourth place globally, as well as second among the G20 countries in the Digital Services Index issued by the United Nations for 2024.
