The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated in the (28) meeting of the Postal and Telecommunications Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was hosted by the sisterly State of Qatar on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, in Doha.
 

Saudi Arabia’s delegation was chaired on behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, by His Excellency the Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Eng. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Alsuwaiyan, to discuss enhancing the growth of the digital economy, innovation, AI solutions, and the development of digital government among the GCC countries.
 

Furthermore, His Excellency Alsuwaiyan participated in the (8) meeting of the Ministerial E-Government Committee, and during the meeting, he extended an invitation to the attendees to participate in the "Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2024", which will be held in Riyadh from December 15 to 19, 2024, stressing the importance of the IGF in exchanging experiences and discussing the challenges of digital technology on a world scale.
 

The visit included a tour to a number of leading Qatari centers in the field of technology and digital innovation. Moreover, the delegation visited Qatar National Library, Qatar Science and Technology Park, TASMU Innovation Lab, Government Contact Center, and Mada Center. These visits aimed to explore opportunities for cooperation and exchange of successful experiences in the fields of innovation and modern technologies between the two nations.
