The Digital Government Authority (DGA) issued the Guideline of DevOps Methodology, proceeding from its role in promoting quality of digital services provided by government agencies, in line with the DGA’s strategic directions, and pursuant to international best practices in various digital government areas.
 

The Guideline is to raise efficiency of digital services and products by adopting a collaborative and common approach for tasks carried out by App Development and IT Operation Teams in government agencies.

Application of DevOps in government agencies can save time and promote efficiency, leading to higher productivity for development teams by 30%, more stability and sustainability with ∼70% less critical incidents. DevOps also fosters employee satisfaction by spreading a culture of independence and self-direction, as DevOps methodology is the most advanced way to develop and maintain IT systems, by integrating full-service ownership with engineering and automation. 

The Guideline of DevOps Methodology comes within a series of guidelines issued by DGA aimed at supporting and enhancing digital excellence in government agencies, improving their performance in software development, and adopting digital methodologies to apply international best practices in various areas related to digital government.
