The Digital Government Authority (DGA) issued the Guideline of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), proceeding from its keenness to enhance digital performance in government agencies and in line with its strategic directions. The Guideline serves as a reference that supports digital transformation activities in government sector, as well as a key enabler for widely adopted techs.
The Guideline aims to raise government agencies awareness on effective API delivery, which enhances value of the provided government services, enables government agencies to fully understand API principles, and drives sustainable API adoption and monitoring.
APls enable faster response to rapid change in business essentials across government agencies, and provide solutions to increase demand through introduction of new products and services. Further, APIs develop expectations for consumer demands, increase scope of Internet connectivity, share of information in real time, and continuously reveal new business models, which promotes the business technical and organizational environment.
The Guideline of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) comes within a series of guidelines issued by DGA aimed at supporting and enhancing digital excellence in government agencies, improving their performance in software development, and adopting digital methodologies to apply international best practices in various areas related to digital government.
