The Digital Government Authority organizes the 2nd edition of the “Digital Government Forum” during the period from next 19-20 December in Riyadh, with the participation of several government agencies, a group of experts and specialists, and decision makers in the field of digital government at the local and international levels.

The forum aims to highlight the achievements of the digital government, review its success stories locally and internationally, and enable leaders of the digital community to meet, communicate, exchange experiences, build partnerships and share experiences, discuss challenges, discuss modern technical best practices, review future directions for digital governments, and discuss investment opportunities in the digital sector in Saudi Arabia.

His Excellency the Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Eng. Ahmed bin Mohammed Alsuwaiyan, stated that organizing the 2nd edition of the Digital Government Forum comes in light of the Saudi Arabia’s position and leadership digitally, as it recently achieved great progress in the data of the Digital Government Maturity Index 2022 issued by the World Bank Group, as it ranked Third globally, out of 198 countries, and First regionally. Also, Saudi Arabia achieved its highest historical result in the e-Government Development Index issued by the United Nations in 2022 and advanced 12 places globally, as it ranked 31, compared to 43 in 2020.

The 2nd edition of the Digital Government Forum will witness dialogue sessions and workshops on digital transformation, in addition to announcing the results of Digital Transformation Measurement “Qiyas” 2023, which aims to improve the performance and effectiveness of government agencies and raise their level of commitment, in a way that contributes to raising the beneficiary satisfaction, improving the quality of life, and the Saudi Arabia’s progress in international indicators. In addition, it aims to honor the winners of the GovJam Challenge for Designing Government Services, and the winners of the eGovernment Award 2023.

It is noteworthy that the 1st edition of the Digital Government Forum, which was organized by the Digital Government Authority last year 2022 AD, witnessed wide local and international participation, and rich discussions about the digital transformation journey in Saudi Arabia, in addition to the launch of several digital products that contributed to developing the quality of life.
