Digital Government Authority (DGA) and Masdr Data Solutions Company signed an agreement to provide data solutions that contribute to achieving DGA’s objectives in the technical classification of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector contractors, as well as the digital government service providers, according to the type of service and activity provided in the ICT sector to the government agencies.

The agreement will provide reliable solutions for developing and operating technical standards and policies for the technical classification of services and activities provided by contractors and its compatibility with the efficiency and capacity of the establishment. Moreover, it will contribute to supporting DGA in achieving its objectives to identify and support small and medium technical enterprises and increase their contribution to digital government procurement. It will enable DGA to know and determine opportunities for development and investment in supply chains and increase the percentage of localization and local technical content.

The agreement was signed by the Vice Governor of Investment and Government  Dr. Abdullah Alfaifi from the side of Digital Government Authority and by the Company CEO, Dr. Ibrahim Al Shaya from the side of Masdr.

The Digital Government Authority undertakes particular competencies and missions, in coordination with the competent authorities, aiming at regulating the work of the digital government, according to the Council of Ministers' Resolution issued approving the organization of the Digital Government Authority.

Digital Government Authority is the national reference and competent Authority with everything related to the digital government in Saudi Arabia. It aims at organizing the digital government business in the government agencies, seeking to reach a proactive digital government that is capable of providing highly efficient digital services and able to achieve integration in the field of digital government among the government agencies.
