The Digital Government Authority Organizes DGF First Edition

On Wednesday, November 16, 2022 in Riyadh city, the Digital Government Authority (DGA) is organizing "Digital Government Forum (DGF) 2022" under the slogan “Towards a Promising Digital Horizon.” DGF was attended by a number of government agencies, Their Excellencies the Ministers, a group of experts, specialists, and decision-makers in the field of digital government at local and international levels.
 
DGF, in its first edition, aims to highlight the digital government’s achievements, showcasing its success stories, both locally and internationally, and enabling the digital community leaders to meet, exchange expertise, build partnerships, share successful experiences, discuss challenges, explore best up-to-date technical practices, discuss future directions for digital governemnt as well as investment opportunities in the digital sector in Saudi Arabia.


H.E. Eng. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Alsuwaiyan, the Governor of Digital Government Authority, stated that DGF organization in its first edition comes in light of Saudi Arabia’s position and leadership digitally, in accordance with digital government’s strategic directions within the objectives framework of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, to continue the journey of digital transformation, and to enable all government agencies to raise the efficiency of digital services that contribute to improving the experience of beneficiaries, developing the quality of life and increasing competitiveness.

H.E Alsuwaiyan explained that DGF discusses a number of topics related to digital transformation and its impact through a number of discussion panels and workshops. These will address investment opportunities in the digital sector and challenges facing digital communities in the business environment, in addition to showcase key successful experiences that contributed to promoting digital transformation of government services. 

DGF will also include the announcement of the results of Tenth Measurement of Digital Transformation 2022 (Qiyas), which mainly aims to encourage and enable government agencies to accelerate digital transformation according to standards that guarantee the efficiency and effectiveness of digital services for government agencies.  The most prominent digital government products and a number of new launches will also be presented.

DGF will witness the holding of GCC e-Government Executive Committee meeting, in addition to honoring the winners of the Digital Government Award. The Award aims to motivate the government agencies in Saudi Arabia to adopt the highest local and international standards during the digital transformation journey, to raise the efficiency of government work by establishing a culture of innovation and excellence in the use of modern technologies, and to provide more efficient and effective digital services that contribute to improving the experience of beneficiaries.
