The Digital Government Authority Launches Digital Government Investment and Procurement Center (SADAF)

Digital Government Authority (DGA) launched the Digital Government Investment and Procurement Center "SADAF," in the presence of H.E. Eng. Haytham Al Ohali, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology (MCIT), and H.E. Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Ali Alsuwaiyan,  the Governor of the Digital Government Authority, H.E. Mr.Abdulaziz Al Foraih, the Chairman of Ministry of Finance Steering Committee, H.E. Eng. Abdul Razzaq Bin AlAujan, the CEO of the Government Expenditure & Projects Efficiency Authority (EXPRO), and H.E. Eng. Yousef  AlHargan, the CEO of National Center for Government Resource Systems, , as well as several public and private sector officials. 

SADAF aims to enhance the means of joint work between the public and private sectors, increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the private sector's participation in digital government projects, and encourage local and foreign investment in digital government.

During the kick-off, H.E. Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Ali Alsuwaiyan, the Governor of Digital Government Authority,  indicated that "SADAF" aims to enhance investment and efficiency of government spending in digital government, improving digital budget planning and avoiding duplication of projects. He added that it would contribute to achieving an increase in procurement through the framework agreements by 70%, besides the transformation of the technical services model between the governmental and private sectors from the capital to operational expenditures by 72%.

The kick-off ceremony witnessed the signing a partnership agreement between DGA and the Expenditure and Projects Efficiency Authority (EXPRO), aiming to enhance the means of cooperation and partnership in several aspects that help advance the digital government transformation and raise the efficiency of spending. As well it witnessed the signing of an agreement between EXPRO and the National Center for Government Resource Systems (NCGR) for merging the "Saudi Project" Platform with "Etimad" Platform, aiming at achieving integration and providing a distinctive experience for beneficiaries.

It is noteworthy that " SADAF " is  part of the Authority's initiatives aimed at leading the digital government of Saudi Arabia and it was announced during the first quarter of the current year 2022.

The Digital Government Authority is the competent Authority for everything related to digital government in Saudi Arabia and the national reference in its affairs. It aims at regulating the work of the digital government programs among the government agencies; in order to reach a proactive digital government and an initiative capable of providing a leading digital services.
