The Digital Government Authority (DGA) issued the second package of general interim licenses for digital government business for two companies: "Technology Control Company Limited" and "The National Company for Real Estate Registration Services." Besides, it licenses 11 digital products for developing, operating and providing services for 8 existing digital governmental platforms and products.
The licenses included the following platforms and products: "Real Estate Registry - RER" of the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services, "Nafith", "Professional Accreditation", "Saudi Dates Mark" for Takamul Company, "Verifying Vital Features (SIMAH)" and "Verify the Beneficiary's Mobile Number "and "Unified National Access (Nafath)" for both " Technology Control Company" and "Elm Company" besides "Verifying land line communication" for "Technology Control Company."
These products and services are affiliated with (5) governmental agencies: (the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence, the General Authority for Real Estate, and the National Center for Palms and Dates.
H.E. Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Ali Alsuwaiyan, the Governor of Digital Government Authority, stated that these licenses are one of the outcomes of the "Experimental Regulatory Environment for Digital Government Business," which was launched by the Authority in November 2021, through which the Authority seeks to raise the efficiency and quality of digital platforms, ensuring business continuity, regulating property rights for government digital platforms and products, governing the mechanism of data sharing and prices of services provided in a way contributing to improving the investment environment to support entrepreneurs, strengthening the partnership between the public sector and private sector, and accelerating the growth of the digital economy to achieve the strategic directions of the digital government and the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.
It is noteworthy that the Authority issued the first package of interim licenses for digital government business to three technology companies on 15 June this year for developing and operating (15) existing digital government platforms and products.
