The Digital Government Authority launched the Digital Transformation Measurement “Qiyas” 2023, intending to improve levels of commitment of government agencies to orders and resolutions related to digital transformation, improve the quality of digital services provided to beneficiaries, and contribute to Saudi Arabia's progress in international indicators related to the development of digital government.
On his part, His Excellency the Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Eng. Ahmed Alsuwaiyan, stressed that the Digital Transformation Measurement “Qiyas” is considered the digital tool that enables the transformation process that supports the pillars of the strategic directions of the digital government in Saudi Arabia, to become one of the world's leading countries in the field of digital government, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Alsuwaiyan added that the digital transformation measurement aims to achieve the requirements of digital transformation, develop digital government, and improve the performance and effectiveness of government agencies, which contributes to accelerating the pace of digital transformation in Saudi Arabia, raising beneficiaries' satisfaction, and improving the quality of life.
Yesterday, Tuesday, the Qiyas 2023 session began through an introductory workshop organized by the Digital Government Authority (remotely) attended by 226 government agencies and more than 1,500 participants. It included an introduction to the measurement methodology, the most prominent updates to the Digital Transformation Standards Document, and a review of the most prominent success stories of Qiyas 2022 and the time plan for Qiyas.
"Qiyas 2023" comes as a continuation of the previous measurements and keeps pace with developments in digital transformation, which contributes to supporting government agencies in highlighting their efforts to achieve greater excellence in the digital transformation process. The Digital Transformation Standards Document is based on several pillars in achieving the digital transformation requirements through optimal application of standards, and developing the digital government.
It is noteworthy that government agencies scored 80.96% in Qiyas 2022, compared to its score in Qiyas 2021, the ninth, with a score of 69.39%, as the progress percentage reached 11.57%, and 61 agencies reached the innovation and integration stages.
